Our contractor reccomended and hired them to do our flooring after we had a flooding in our home. It was a great experience. They were so respectful and on top of getting as much finished for as quickly as possible. Any complaints we had they were quick to fix. It was wonderful experience during a stressful time. Highly reccomend them.

Great experience!I am always very cautious about contractors. Have been disappointed more times than I care to remember. But Joel (salesperson) and especially, Kirt, (installer) have restored my confidence in getting things done by professionals. We reached out to J/K to have someone come out to our home to take measurements to replace the carpet last month. After our appointment they said they would reach out with an estimate based on the carpet we selected. The next day we went to J/K's warehouse and selected a couple of different options to give us some choices based on price point. We provided the info to an older gentlemen at the front desk since our rep was out at another appointment. After a week we called and left a message since we hadn't heard back. Another couple days pass and we contact them again (leaving a 3rd message for our rep) and we hear nothing. It's now been 1 1/2 months. With the lack of communication we ended up contacting Cherry City Interiors. We should've contacted them in the first place to avoid the run around and inconvenience from J/K.

The owner John the son thats never there, not like Dad was . I have two of my duplexes need to be re-carpeted and can't even get a call back. Call four times to get answers and never got any. Always gave me excuses but never a price to install it. I'll never be back too bad the old man's not still there. He wouldn't stand for this

Our sub-contractor rep who came out to do the flooring job today was extremely personable, reliable, and very helpful, and did an amazing job! Even though we didn't contract with JK Carpet directly (we used Service Master for the full job), their flooring guy today went above and beyond to ensure we had a quality product placed and a great experience!

Store is conveniently located on Broadway in Salem, Oregon. I was able to shop inside the store and able to browse the selection. I was able to find a carpet both to the thickness and color of my preference.So if you're looking for a new carpet, or if you need tocto replace a part of your carpeting, I would highly suggest that you come on over to this place and look it over.

Would give a zero star if option. What a disater of an experience we had with them. They installed flooring in my house on 3/12. The floor instantly was buckling and sinking. I called JK, they sent the installer out who said "your fridge is too heavy!" and then blamed the problems on the manufacturer. It took the manager Jerry over a month to get back to me. He NEVER acknowledged the inconvenience. Always someone to blame and never any answers. A 2nd team finally came to my house to "fix" and they said it could not be fixed and that new flooring needed to be ordered... another month goes by. Jerry is trying to get in touch with the manufacturer. Funny thing is, I could call the toll free line for them and would get immediate help. Jerry kept saying he needed them to replace the wood when the right thing to do would have been just order it and worry about your battles seperately. This is the worst customer service I HAVE EVER HEARD OF! Instead of taking care of a customer who has been inconvenienced for 8 weeks he was more concerned about his profit. Now 11 weeks later my flooring was finally installed. Funny, same fridge but the problem went away. Also, the new installers did a fantastic job, and the sub floor needed to leveled which I mentioned before the 1st install but the installer didn't care. I would recommend going somewhere else. If you have problems Jerry will not stand behind his work and help you. In a time where customers should matter most, you will quickly learn they are not important to JK. He hasn't even given us paperwork for their "warranty" or any from the manufacturer.

Jk carpet is great! No pressure to buy, Gordon was informational And matched Lowe’s and Home Depot’s prices. The installers did 900 ft.² in three hours and we’re super professional great job JK carpets hard to find good service anymore!

This is the place to go, especially if you have a home where you want to do renovations slowly. They do everything well---the small room that needs new carpet---the formica on your kitchen countertops---the linoleum in your kitchen. I was recommended to them years ago, and I have never looked back. They are low pressure, carry top products and the place is fun to browse.

We had used J/K Carpet in the past to do the bedrooms in my house and I wanted to continue the same flooring throughout, so I hired J/K Carpet Center again. My experience with Alex King was decent. He was helpful, communicative, explained everything and answered all of my questions so that I understood and was satisfied with his knowledge. He scheduled within our date range which was very helpful as we have a full house. I took the days off of work that he said it would t...ake to do the job. The employee who came to my home did not represent the business well. He was unkempt at best. I later learned that this was actually the owner's son. Brian. On more than one occasion I witnessed him spitting in my yard, and not just saliva. It was disgusting. I felt buyer's remorse instantly and I also felt like a prisoner to my purchase since my floor was already torn up. On the first day Brian left early stating he wanted to go to a child's sports event. Absolutely! That's a great reason to leave and I trusted his knowledge and abilities to know what kind of time he needed to complete my floor. He also left early on the second day. This was the day that my floor was originally to be completed. Ok - an extra day leaving room for error is understandable. I was unable to be home from work any longer so had to trust he would be where he said he'd be when he said he'd be there. He arrived late on the third day. The job was not complete when he left. It was when I was walking through my home looking at the work done this far that I noticed one of my shelves was missing a candle/candlestick. I looked everywhere, I had my kids look and we could not find it. It was completely gone. I contacted Alex and expressed my concern that it had been knocked off the shelf and broken and then STOLEN to cover the fact that it had happened. Alex looked into this and the employee confirmed that he did indeed accidentally knock the candlestick off the shelf and break it. He also admitted he cleaned it up and took the garbage with him to cover it up. I would not want this employee in anyone's house. I did not allow him back into my house. On any day this is a terrible thing for a person or company to do. In this case it was doubly horrific as the candle was one of two special candles from my grandson's funeral. Irreplaceable. I cannot, to this day, recount this incident without watery eyes and a broken heart. This is unforgivable. To their credit, in an effort to apologize J/K Carpet did reach out and were kind to our family. The remainder of the $4,200.00 that I owed was discounted $300.00 and as it was the anniversary of Isaac's death they delivered flowers to his grave site. I do not feel it was enough. See More

Similar experience, different company. Day 1, I took day off work. They were supposed to move a couple of large pieces of furniture....only 1 person showed up. Day 2 which was supposed to be finish day, the truck is broke down and they won't come until after the weekend. I threw down. I told them somebody had better find a truck and finish my floor on Saturday. He showed up, but was clearly not happy ( in the allegedly broken down truck). Nothing stolen, but sheesh. Once they have the contract, seems no one cares about service or respect.

The salesman Terence is very nice and helpful in selecting the floor materials,but the vinyl floor installers did a poor job.After the new vinyl was installed, the garage entrance door cannot close.We, the customer, had to remove the bottom part of the door ourselves.They left a big mess behind.They put their dirty equipments on our nice carpet.The carpet, kitchen sink, bathtub got very dirty.Pieces of vinyl fell under the floor register.A few black marks were put on the wall.They scratched the toilet, door trims, lower cabinet doors and drawers.We spent over $100 on another contractor to repair the damage afterward.We are unhappy about these J/K Carpet installers.

J/K Flooring quoted us a combination of both hardwood and carpet installation with a promise of 3 days installation time. The first phase of the project was suggested to last 2 days. At the end of day two install, the installer found that the sales person had mis-measured and would have to return once the supplemental product order arrived. Approximately one week had passed and not a single phone call from J/K to explain, apologize or reschedule so we decided to call on our own. They could not give us dates but promised to call when they had them. Another week passed and still no phone call. On our way out the door to work one morning, the installer arrived, unscheduled, to do the work. We had to turn them away and called the salesman to find out when they could schedule a set time, at which point they lied and accused us of giving them the previous date. We set an actual date for them to return, at which time their contracted installer discovered we had once again been shorted product and would have to return a 3rd time. Again, no communication from J/K to explain, apologize or reschedule. At this point we were about 3 weeks in to walking around in flip flops to avoid the exposed floor staples and stubbing our toes on the raw stair nose. We, once again, had to call J/K to find out what was happening and were given two different dates that they might reschedule but couldn't confirm. We were told they would contact us with a set date. That did not happen. We called a second time and we're told "We already set a date." Unfortunately we were not informed of this said date so we expressed our upset to the sales person who responded sharply "We'll I'm upset too!" We expounded saying that if he just would have informed us of what was happening, half of this message would not have occurred. Showing no remorse, he replied "You are getting a screaming deal so let's just get this done. " (referring to the discount that the manufacturer offered as a result of their shipping error) We then received a bill in the mail for the full remaining balance from the original bid. Upset by the false promises, flippant demeanor, 4 week delay and lack of a "screaming deal", we called again and asked for a discount. The sales person responded flippantly, "What do you want?" We asked him what he thought was fair and once again he promised to call and let us know what he could offer us after speaking with his manager, we have yet to hear from him.

After talking to my sales associate that helped you my understanding is that he was able to find a solution for you shortly after you posted this. Scheduling is difficult on short notice and can be challenging to work out, but as far as I have heard the job was done as planned. Is is correct? It's always nice to have some follow up when you post something negative but come to a solution.
